DISASTER RECOVERY · DRaaS

Cloud Disaster Recovery &
Business Continuity

We run your recovery site in Tier-3 EU data centres: Veeam replication from 15-minute intervals, scheduled test restores, and RPO/RTO fixed in the SLA, with an RTO of 1–2 hours for critical systems.

WHAT YOU GET
After the project you have:
A recovery site in the EU that your systems replicate to continuously
RPO and RTO fixed in the SLA
Scheduled test restores, with no impact on production systems
One contract: site, replication, tests and support

WHAT WE SEE IN THE FIELD
Which of these sounds familiar?
Plan B on paper
The DR plan was written years ago and never tested. On the day it matters, it will not work.
Recovery time unknown
Backups exist. But how long a full recovery takes, an hour or a week, nobody knows.
A second data centre is too expensive
Your own standby site means doubling hardware, licences and people. The budget will not carry it.
⚑︎
Requirements from outside
Auditors, insurers and large customers increasingly require a proven business continuity plan.
THE SOLUTION
What the solution includes
DR strategy design

Together with you we define critical systems, target RPO/RTO for each group, and the disaster scenarios you protect against. The output is a continuity plan, not just copies.

A recovery site in the EU

Capacity in Baltneta’s Tier-3 data centres in Lithuania (ISO 27001, PCI DSS). Replicas are transmitted and stored encrypted; the site is geographically separate from your primary infrastructure, with EU data residency.

Replication on Veeam technology

Virtual-machine replication from a 15-minute interval, via Veeam Cloud Connect over an encrypted TLS/SSL channel. Managed from your existing Veeam console or entirely on our side.

Scheduled test restores

Regular failover tests in an isolated environment, with no impact on production systems. After each test you get a report: what came up, how fast, what to fix.

Failover, failback and support

On the day of a disaster, switchover to the recovery site by a rehearsed scenario; after the primary is restored, failback. Support, RPO and RTO fixed in the SLA.

WHERE DRaaS FITS
Three classes of solution: an honest comparison

DRaaS covers the middle: critical systems without the budget for a second data centre of your own.

APPROACHWHAT IT GIVESTYPICAL FIGURESWHEN IT FITS
Off-site backupsData is kept, but after a disaster the infrastructure has to be rebuilt from scratchRPO: hours to a day
RTO: days
Non-critical systems, archives
DRaaS: this serviceA ready site in the EU: systems come up from replicas and run while your primary site is downRPO from 15 min
RTO 1–2 h, in the SLA
Critical business systems without the budget for a second data centre
Active-active synchronous clusterTwo sites run at once, switchover is almost unnoticeableRPO ~0
RTO: minutes
When even minutes of downtime are unacceptable; doubles infrastructure and budget
Who delivers
One contract. Clear responsibilities.

You sign one contract and work with one project lead. Here is who is responsible for what.

Eurokommerz
AUSTRIA · EU

An Austrian company with 20+ years in the market. Holds the contract and supplies the hardware under the solution – with EU invoicing, delivery and warranty under European law. A single point of responsibility for the project.

How we work
How we work, step by step

01free of charge

Talk to an expert
We work through your critical systems, current backup and target RPO/RTO. You leave with 2–3 possible DR scenarios.

02free of charge

Screening
A high-level review of your current backup and DR posture, at no charge: enough to scope the work and move to a detailed assessment.

03paid stage

Technical assessment
A full review of the infrastructure, the DR strategy and site sizing. The price of the assessment and the future subscription are fixed before work begins.

04

Implementation
Replication setup and the first test restore, then scheduled tests and support under an SLA.
HONESTLY
When we are not the right fit
If even minutes of downtime are unacceptable and you need zero RPO, that is active-active synchronous clustering, a different class of solution and budget. We will say so honestly on the first call.
FAQ
The key questions, answered
How is this different from backup?
Backup keeps copies of data. DRaaS is a ready-to-run site where your systems come up from replicas and keep working while your primary infrastructure is unavailable. Backup answers “is the data intact”; DRaaS answers “is the business running tomorrow morning”.
Where are the replicas physically stored?
In Baltneta’s Tier-3 data centres in Lithuania (EU), ISO 27001 and PCI DSS certified, with EU data residency. Replicas are transmitted and stored encrypted.
What RPO and RTO do we get?
The service’s standard targets are RPO from 15 minutes and RTO of 1–2 hours for critical systems. Your specific targets are defined per system group during the assessment and fixed in the SLA.
Can we manage replication ourselves?
Yes, via your existing Veeam console. Or we manage it entirely on our side, under the SLA. Both models are supported.
How do we know it will actually work?
Scheduled test restores in an isolated environment, with a report after each test: what came up, how fast, what to fix. That is the difference between a plan on paper and a rehearsed procedure.
How do you handle our data during the project?
Engineers work in your environment under your access controls; we do not take copies of production data out of it. NDA before technical detail, a data processing agreement on request, subprocessors named in the contract. The full picture (data access, the documents we sign and where hosting runs) is on the Security & Compliance page.
Who is the contract with, and who is responsible for the result?
The contract is with Eurokommerz (Austria). Engineering by Vixen.UNO, the recovery site by Baltneta. A dedicated Eurokommerz project lead stays your single point of contact.
